In
Nightlight, an artist, an author, and a book designer have combined
their talents to tell the tale of two little bears, Aurora Mae and
Borealis Burl, who awake in the night to discover that something
amazing is happening in the sky above them-the grand and glorious
northern lights stage a fantastic show as a sprinkling of friendly
fireflies contribute their sparkles to light up the night in a way
the two young bears have never seen before.
This book is
a simple story about complex natural phenomena. The story reminds
us that these "night lights" are out there, free for all
who look for them, and that when we see them for ourselves, we can
experience the same sense of wonder, delight, and reassurance that
settles over Aurora Mae and Borealis Burl during this night of magic.
