This
little book is a collection of historical facts and anecdotes
about the charming, close-knit community of Palma Sola. This small
peninsula in Manatee County is bounded by Palma Sola Bay, Perico
Bayou, and the Manatee River. Early residents were fishermen,
fruit growers and truck farmers. A fold-out map shows the location
of sites mentioned in the text, including houses, ruins, farms,
and cemeteries.
